Frequently asked questions
What size is a passport photo in pixels?
A standard passport photo is 35×45 mm. At 300 DPI (print quality) that equals 413×531 pixels, which is the preset provided here. Some portals ask for 2×2 inches instead — that is 600×600 pixels at 300 DPI.
What does “lock aspect ratio” do?
It keeps the photo's original proportions when you change one side, so faces are not stretched or squeezed. Turn it off only when a portal demands an exact size that differs from your photo's shape — and expect some stretching.
Will resizing improve a blurry photo?
No. Enlarging a small or blurry photo cannot add real detail. For best results, start from the original full-size photo from your camera.
