Max file size 50 MB · Processed on your device, never uploaded

Best for text-based PDFs (created from Word, Google Docs, etc.). Complex layouts, tables and images are simplified to plain text paragraphs. Scanned/image PDFs need OCR, which is not included.

How it works

  1. Click the upload box or drag your PDF file onto it.
  2. Press “Convert to Word (.docx)” and wait while the pages are read.
  3. Your Word file downloads automatically — open it in Microsoft Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice and edit freely.

🔒 Privacy note: this tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to any server.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my converted file look different from the PDF?

This tool extracts the text of the PDF and rebuilds it as clean, editable paragraphs. Fonts, exact positions, tables and images of the original layout are simplified. For official documents, always proofread the Word file once before submitting it.

The tool says no text was found. What now?

Your PDF is most likely a scanned image (for example a photo of a paper document saved as PDF). Scanned PDFs need OCR software to recognise the text. Try a PDF that was originally created on a computer, such as one exported from Word or a website.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion happens in your own browser using JavaScript. Your file never leaves your device, which also means it works on slow connections once the page has loaded.

What is the maximum file size?

Files up to 50 MB are accepted, but very large PDFs (hundreds of pages) may be slow or run out of memory on low-end phones. Splitting the PDF first and converting in parts works best.
