Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate my board exam percentage?
Divide your obtained marks by the total marks and multiply by 100. Example: 850 out of 1100 gives (850 ÷ 1100) × 100 = 77.27%. The Exam Marks tab does this for you.
What percentage do I need for a first division?
In most Pakistani boards, 60% and above is first division, 45–59% is second division, and 33–44% is third division (pass marks are usually 33% or 40% depending on the board and subject).
How is percentage increase calculated?
Subtract the old value from the new value, divide by the old value, and multiply by 100. If a fee rises from 2,000 to 2,400, the increase is (400 ÷ 2,000) × 100 = 20%.
